Brain Out 2 Level 12

๐Ÿ“ Walkthrough

Overview

Level 12 tells you to "Save the Lamb." A panicking lamb is being chased by a snarling wolf across a grassy field. A river runs across the lower part of the scene, a tree stands on the left, a broken wooden pen sits near the wolf, and a loose rock lies on the near bank. Both the lamb and the wolf start on the same side of the river, so running away alone will not save the lamb โ€” the wolf will catch it. The solution is to put fire between the wolf and the lamb: light the broken wooden fence, which scares the wolf off and lets the lamb reach safety across the river.

Step-by-Step Solution

  1. Read the danger. The lamb is sweating and running from the wolf. The wolf is close behind it, and both are on the same side of the river.
  1. Do not just make the lamb run. Running does not work because the wolf is faster and stays on the same side.
  1. Look at the broken wooden fence. The tumbled wooden pen near the wolf is made of dry wood โ€” perfect fuel for a fire that wolves fear.
  1. Ignite the wooden fence. Tap / rub the broken wooden fence to set it on fire. Flames start burning on the wood right in front of the wolf.
  1. The wolf is blocked by the fire. Wolves are afraid of fire, so the snarling wolf stops and cannot advance toward the lamb.
  1. The lamb escapes across the river. With the wolf held back by the flames, the lamb safely gets to the other side of the river. The lamb looks happy, flowers appear around it, and the prompt reads "The wolf can't come, the lamb is saved!" The green next button appears.

Strategy & Reasoning

The level plays on the real instinct that wolves avoid fire. The river looks like the natural barrier, but both animals are on the same bank, so water alone does not protect the lamb. The broken wooden pen is the clue: it is dry wood placed right where the wolf is. By setting it alight, you create a wall of fire between the predator and its prey.

Once the fire is burning, the wolf will not cross it, so the chase effectively ends. The lamb then ends up safe on the far side of the river, surrounded by flowers. The reward line "The wolf can't come" literally says the fire stopped the wolf from approaching โ€” that is the whole point.

Dragging the lamb, the rock or the tree does not solve it. The rock and the tree are scenery, and moving the lamb just makes it run in place. The decisive move is lighting the wooden fence on fire. Wolves have a natural fear of flames, so the fire is the only thing that reliably blocks them.

Tips & Common Mistakes

  • Mistake: trying to move the lamb away. Dragging the lamb does not outrun the wolf; it stays on the same bank. Create a barrier first.
  • Mistake: thinking the river protects the lamb. The lamb and the wolf start on the same side, so the river is not yet between them. You must stop the wolf with fire.
  • Mistake: ignoring the broken fence. The tumbled wooden pen is the fuel. Set it on fire to scare the wolf; once flames burn in front of the wolf, the lamb is saved and ends up across the river.
