Brain Out 2 Level 1
๐ Walkthrough
Overview
Level 1 is the opening tutorial puzzle that teaches you how Brain Out 2 thinks: the prompt reads "Find the biggest animal!" and the screen shows four cartoon animals scattered on a plain background. In the upper-left sits a very large hamster, in the upper-right a small giraffe, in the lower-left a dog lying down (with a cat tucked underneath it), and in the lower-right a tiger. The trap is that your brain immediately thinks about the real-world size of each species, while the game actually wants you to judge the animals by how big they are drawn on the screen. The whole level is cleared with a single tap once you stop overthinking it.

Step-by-Step Solution
- Read the prompt literally. When the level opens, the question "Find the biggest animal!" is shown at the top. Do not rush to tap anything yet. Notice the red question mark floating near the animals โ it is just a decoration and not a clue to touch.
- Ignore real-world knowledge. Your first instinct is probably to reason about which animal is actually largest in nature: the giraffe is the tallest, the tiger is a big predator, and so on. That is exactly the trap the level sets. The game is not asking about biology โ it is asking about the picture in front of you.
- Measure how much space each animal takes on the screen. Look at the four drawings as images. The hamster in the upper-left is drawn enormously: its round body fills a huge chunk of the left half of the screen. The giraffe, despite being tall in real life, is drawn small and compact. The tiger is medium, and the dog is lying flat.
- Compare footprints and area. If you mentally box each animal, the hamster's box is by far the widest and tallest of all four. It is deliberately inflated in the artwork so that, on this screen, it is unambiguously the biggest animal.
- Tap the hamster. Once you realize the hamster occupies the largest area, tap directly on the hamster's body. The hamster reacts by winking one eye and giving you a thumbs-up, while the giraffe, tiger and dog all widen their eyes in surprise.
- Confirm the clear state. After the tap, the prompt changes to "Eat more and grow bigger!" and a green arrow button appears at the bottom. That confirms you picked correctly โ this level is finished in that one tap.
Strategy & Reasoning
Brain Out 2 levels are designed to punish common sense and reward literal reading of the screen. Here, "biggest animal" sounds like a biology question, and many players will waste time tapping the giraffe because it is the tallest land animal, or the tiger because it is a large carnivore. Both are wrong, because the game does not compare real animals โ it compares the cartoon pictures you are actually shown.
The artwork is the tell. The hamster has been scaled up on purpose so that, visually, it dwarfs every other creature on the canvas. Brain Out's signature trick is that the most "obvious" answer to a riddle question is a decoy, and the answer is usually the thing that is physically largest or most out of place on the screen itself. By switching your thinking from "which animal is biggest in real life" to "which drawing is biggest on my phone," the answer jumps out immediately.
There is no need to drag, resize, feed or combine anything. The dog even has a cat hidden under it, which looks like an interaction target, but it is pure scene dressing. The single correct interaction is selecting the on-screen largest figure. Random tapping just costs time, because a wrong animal gives no helpful feedback and you end up guessing through the set.
Tips & Common Mistakes
- Mistake: tapping the giraffe. Players assume "biggest" means tallest, and the giraffe has a long neck. But on this screen the giraffe is drawn small, and height is not the same as overall size. Measure area, not neck length.
- Mistake: overthinking it. Because this is the first level, people expect a hidden trick (combining animals, feeding something, moving the question mark). There is none โ the answer is simply the largest drawing on screen. Do not use hints unless you already tapped the hamster wrongly.
- Mistake: ignoring the feedback. After you tap the correct hamster it winks and thumbs up, and the reward line "Eat more and grow bigger!" appears. If you do not see that reaction, you tapped the wrong animal โ do not repeat the same choice; re-measure which drawing covers the most screen area.
