Brain Out 2 Level 8
๐ Walkthrough
Overview
Level 8 asks "How to get out of a closed room?" A shivering girl stands in the middle of a locked-looking room. On the left is an arched window barred with iron grilles and a padlock; on the right is a glass window also fastened with a padlock; in the back wall is a plain brown wooden door; there is a picture frame, a chair, a chest, a side table and a wall candle. The puzzle makes the windows look like the only exits, but they are both locked. The real exit is the wooden door, which is not actually locked at all โ you just open it.

Step-by-Step Solution
- Look around the room. Note the two windows: the arched iron-bar window on the left and the glass window on the right, both visibly padlocked. They look like possible exits but are sealed.
- Do not waste time on the locked windows. The barred window and the glass window have padlocks, so you cannot open them. The red cross on the side table also marks that area as a wrong spot.
- Tap the wooden door / its handle in the center of the back wall. The brown door looks shut, but it is not actually locked. Tap the door (or the silver handle on it).
- Watch the door swing open. The wooden door opens inward to reveal the outside โ green trees and daylight are visible through the doorway.
- Confirm the clear. The girl's expression changes from frightened to delighted, little hearts float by the door, and the prompt reads "It's actually not that complicated!" The green next button appears.
Strategy & Reasoning
The level is a distraction puzzle. It shows two prominently locked windows (iron bars and a padlock on the glass) so you start hunting for keys or tools to open them. But the reward line "It's actually not that complicated!" tells you the answer is simpler than searching for keys. The main wooden door has no padlock on it โ it only looks closed. Tapping it opens it directly to the outside.
This is classic Brain Out misdirection: the "closed room" is not actually sealed. The locked windows are there to make you overthink (find the key, break the glass, move the furniture), while the front door is simply unlocked. The picture frame, chest and side table are props; none of them hides a key.
You do not need the candle, the chair, or any dragging. One tap on the wooden door opens the exit. If tapping the windows or the furniture does nothing, that is expected โ the correct target is the plain door.
Tips & Common Mistakes
- Mistake: searching for a key. Players look for a hidden key in the picture, chest or side table. There is none; the door is already unlocked.
- Mistake: tapping the locked windows. Both windows have padlocks and iron bars and will not open. Ignore them as exits.
- Mistake: ignoring the plain door. Because it has no visible handle highlight, it looks decorative. Tap the brown wooden door in the center of the back wall (or its silver handle) and it swings open to the outdoors.
