Brain Out 2 Level 9

๐Ÿ“ Walkthrough

Overview

Level 9 tells you to "Find the purple!" Three colored circles sit on a plain background: a red circle on the left, a yellow circle on the upper-right (which already shows an orange cross mark), and a blue circle at the bottom. There is no purple circle anywhere. The puzzle is a color-mixing riddle: purple does not exist on the screen because you have to create it by combining the existing colors. Red and blue mix into purple. Once you drag the red circle onto the blue circle, they fuse into a sparkling purple circle.

Step-by-Step Solution

  1. Look at the available colors. There is a red circle, a blue circle and a yellow circle. None of them is purple, so you cannot just tap a purple object.
  1. Recognize the wrong circle. The yellow circle already has an orange cross over it, marking it as the wrong thing to tap. Yellow cannot help make purple.
  1. Recall basic color mixing. Red + blue = purple (a secondary color). The two ingredients you need are the red circle and the blue circle.
  1. Drag the red circle onto the blue circle. Press and hold the red circle and drag it on top of the blue circle. Release so they overlap.
  1. Watch them merge. The red and blue circles combine into a single sparkling purple circle, surrounded by little yellow star sparkles.
  1. Confirm the clear. The prompt changes to "Red + blue = purple, basic color knowledge!" and the green next button appears. The yellow circle stays behind, unused.

Strategy & Reasoning

This level tests whether you know primary and secondary colors. There is deliberately no purple on screen, so tapping around looking for one is hopeless. The yellow circle is marked with a cross to steer you away from it (yellow + red = orange, yellow + blue = green, neither is purple). The only pair that makes purple is red and blue.

Because the circles are draggable objects, the intended interaction is to overlap red and blue rather than tap. Brain Out often turns a knowledge fact into a physical action: you "mix" the colors by dropping one circle on top of the other. The sparkles that appear confirm the blend registered.

Do not try to involve the yellow circle, and do not tap the circles expecting one of them to turn purple on its own. The solution is a drag-and-merge: red onto blue. Once the resulting purple circle is complete, the level clears automatically.

Tips & Common Mistakes

  • Mistake: tapping the circles. Tapping a single colored circle does nothing. You must drag red onto blue to mix them.
  • Mistake: using yellow. The yellow circle already has a cross mark and cannot make purple with either red or blue. Leave it out.
  • Mistake: dragging blue onto red incorrectly. Either order works conceptually, but make sure the two circles fully overlap when you release; if they do not merge into purple, drag them again until they sit on top of each other.
