Brain Out 2 Level 4
๐ Walkthrough
Overview
Level 4 asks you to "Help put the luggage in the suitcase." A girl kneels on the left holding a neat stack of folded clothes, looking puzzled. On the right is an open suitcase โ but instead of being empty and ready to pack, it is already occupied by three cats (an orange tabby, a black-and-white cat, and a grey cat) curled up inside the compartment. The joke is that you cannot pack the clothes because the cats are sitting in the way, so the "luggage" problem is really a cat-removal problem.
- Difficulty: Easy
- Estimated moves: 3
Step-by-Step Solution
- Read the situation. The girl holds a stack of folded clothes and wants them in the suitcase. Look inside the open suitcase and notice the three cats comfortably lying in it โ they are taking up all the room.
- Do not try to stuff the clothes in. Dragging the folded clothes toward the suitcase fails because the cats are blocking the space. The real obstacle is not the clothes; it is the cats.
- Drag each cat out of the suitcase. Pick up the orange cat first and drag it out of the suitcase onto the area beside it. Then drag out the black-and-white cat, and finally the grey cat. Each one comes out as a movable object.
- Set the cats aside. Once all three cats are out, they sit together on top of / behind the closed suitcase. The compartment is now empty.
- Confirm the clear. With the cats removed, the suitcase closes and the prompt changes to "The first step, take the cat out." The green next button appears, confirming you have solved it.
Strategy & Reasoning
The level sets up a packing problem and then hides the real issue in plain sight: the suitcase is not too small for the clothes โ it is occupied. Brain Out's trick here is that players immediately start dragging the clothes into the case and wonder why it does not work, when the correct first move is to clear out what is already inside.
The three cats are deliberately drawn looking relaxed and comfortable, which makes them feel like decoration rather than obstacles. But the solved frame shows them lifted out and the suitcase shut, and the reward text literally says "the first step, take the cat out." That is the game telling you the intended order: cats out first, luggage in second.
You do not need to actually drag the clothes in yourself โ once the cats are removed, the packing completes automatically. The whole puzzle is about noticing and removing the occupants. Trying to force the folded clothes past the cats never works because the game treats the cats as solid, blocking objects.
Tips & Common Mistakes
- Mistake: dragging the clothes into the suitcase. Players try to pack the stack of clothes directly. It does not go in because the cats are inside. Remove the cats first.
- Mistake: removing only one cat. All three cats must come out. If the suitcase still will not close, another cat is still sitting inside โ drag out every cat until the compartment is empty.
- Mistake: tapping the cats. A tap may not pick them up; you need to drag each cat out of the case and release it outside. If a cat stays put, drag it more firmly toward the open area beside the suitcase.
