Overview

Level 22 says "Let the cat eat the fish!" A hungry cat sits at the bottom entrance of a maze, and a fish waits at the top. Inside the maze a spinning circular saw blade guards the middle, so the obvious route through the corridors is deadly. Below the maze are four yellow directional buttons (up, left, right, down). The trick is that you do not have to thread the maze at all — the cat can simply walk out of the entrance and around the outside wall to reach the fish from above, bypassing the saw completely.

Step-by-Step Solution

1. Read the setup. The cat is at the bottom entrance of the maze, the fish is at the top, and a dangerous circular saw sits in the middle corridors.

1. Do not push the cat deep into the maze. Walking straight inward leads toward the saw blade. The inside route is a trap.

1. Walk the cat back out of the entrance. Use the direction buttons to move the cat out of the maze opening and onto the ground outside the wall.

1. Circle around the outside. Steer the cat around the exterior perimeter of the maze: out and to the left, then up along the outer left edge, then across the top.

1. Drop in to the fish. From above, guide the cat down into the small pocket where the fish sits at the top of the maze.

1. The cat reaches the fish. The cat eats the fish happily and the prompt reads "Really delicious meow~" The green next button appears.

Strategy & Reasoning

This is a classic "think outside the box" maze puzzle. Most players immediately start pressing arrows to navigate the interior corridors, but the saw blade blocks the direct path and the maze is full of dead ends. The clever realization is that the maze walls only matter on the inside — the ground outside the outer wall is completely open.

Because the cat starts right at the entrance, the easiest move is to reverse: walk out through the doorway you came in, then simply circle around the exterior to the top. The fish's chamber opens upward, so the cat can enter it from the outside top without ever stepping near the saw. The directional buttons let you walk freely on the empty grass around the border.

The saw blade is pure deterrence to make you respect the interior route. By ignoring it entirely and going around, you skip the danger and solve the maze in a few moves. The success state shows the cat right on top of the fish, having approached from outside rather than from within the corridors.
