Brain Puzzle 3 Level 163
📝 Walkthrough
Overview
Level 163 is a timed escape-the-killer puzzle. The yellow banner says "Help the girl hold her breath and escape the killer's pursuit" with a 3:00 countdown. In a dark, ruined room, a girl in a red dress is crouched inside a large round water tank, fully submerged, hands over her mouth and shivering as she holds her breath. A killer in a brown trench coat and fedora stands nearby holding a knife, calling out "Come out, stop hiding, you can't escape!" Scattered props include a wooden shelf holding a skull-marked poison bottle, a small ghost figurine and a skull; a brick fireplace with an oxygen/scuba tank on the mantel; clumps of tall grass; a bamboo pole; and stacked wooden barrels. The goal is to keep her hidden and breathing until the killer leaves, then let her escape.
- Difficulty: Hard
- Estimated moves: 5
Step-by-Step Solution
- Distract the killer with the ghost. Tap the small ghost figurine on the wooden shelf. It floats over toward the stacked barrels, glowing; the killer turns toward the barrels with red question marks on his head, confused by the apparition.
- Give her air from the oxygen tank. Tap the scuba/oxygen tank on the fireplace mantel. A breathing tube runs from it down into the water tank, so the girl can breathe through a snorkel while staying submerged instead of blacking out.
- Open the cabinet door. Tap the circular highlight on the cabinet door; it opens, providing cover and a place for props to be hidden.
- Release a small animal as a second distraction. Tap the tall grass / barrel area; a small hamster-like creature skitters across the floor, drawing the killer's attention away from the water tank.
- The killer gives up and walks away. With the ghost bobbing by the barrels, the animal scurrying on the floor, and the girl safely breathing through the tube underwater, the killer smiles and turns to leave the room.
- The girl escapes. Once the killer is gone, the girl lifts her head out of the water, now smiling and relieved, hands on her chin in a wink. She has held her breath, stayed hidden, and escaped the pursuit. The red "Completed" banner drops with confetti.
Strategy & Reasoning
This is a "hide underwater until the killer leaves" survival puzzle. The girl's problem is twofold: she will run out of breath, and the killer will find her. The oxygen tank solves the breath problem; the ghost and the small animal solve the finding problem by creating distractions that pull the killer's eyes away from the water tank.
The props map directly to the two needs: the scuba tank on the fireplace is the breathing source, the ghost figurine on the shelf is the decoy apparition, and the grass/barrel area releases the small animal. The poison bottle and the skull on the shelf are set dressing — you do not feed her poison. The killer's red question marks are the gauge that the distractions are working; once he turns and walks away, the coast is clear.
There is no way to fight the killer or run past him; she must stay submerged until he leaves. The level completes automatically once the oxygen tube is in place, the ghost and animal have distracted him, and he walks out.
Tips & Common Mistakes
- Mistake: forgetting the oxygen tank. If she runs out of breath, she will surface and be caught. Tap the scuba tank on the fireplace first to give her a tube.
- Mistake: only using one distraction. The killer needs both the ghost and the small animal to walk away. If he is still searching, check whether the ghost is by the barrels and the animal is on the floor.
- Mistake: tapping the killer directly. He cannot be fought or reasoned with. Tap the props to distract him.
