Brain Out 2 Level 173
๐ Walkthrough
Overview
A blonde archer girl stands at a carnival shooting range aiming her bow at a red-and-white target. A black heart is painted on the left side of the outer ring, while she is lined up on the center bullseye. The prompt tells you to shoot the black heart. The solved frame shows an arrow through the black heart and a "BINGO!" message with little hearts floating by the girl. Because the heart is off to one side, you cannot just release at the center โ you must bring the heart into the arrow's path.
- Difficulty: Easy
- Estimated moves: 2โ3
Step-by-Step Solution
- Notice the mismatch. The archer is aimed at the red center bullseye, but the black heart sits off on the left outer ring, out of the straight arrow's path.
- Do not just release. Shooting straight at the center would hit the bullseye and miss the heart, so firing immediately is a mistake.
- Drag the black heart. Pull the black heart from the left side of the target over to the center bullseye where the arrow is already aimed.
- Release and shoot. The bow fires the arrow straight through the repositioned black heart. The "BINGO!" result appears and the girl celebrates with floating hearts.
Strategy & Reasoning
The level looks like a simple aim-and-shoot, but the fixed bow points at the center, not at the off-center heart. Brain Out rewards moving the world to match your action rather than re-aiming. By dragging the black heart onto the bullseye, the already-nocked arrow hits exactly the object the prompt asks for.
This is a classic "move the target" puzzle. Since the bow cannot be re-angled, the only way to guarantee hitting the black heart is to move the heart itself into the line of fire. The arrows fly straight to the center regardless, so repositioning the heart there makes the shot automatic. Trying to adjust aim by tapping elsewhere would simply shoot the bullseye and miss the heart, which is why the off-center placement is the whole trick.
Why does moving the target work instead of aiming? The bow is fixed to the screen and always releases straight toward the center bullseye, so no amount of tilting or dragging the girl changes the trajectory. The only free element is the painted heart itself, which the game lets you pick up like an object. Once the heart sits on the bullseye, the next automatic arrow passes straight through it. Players who instinctively tap the center will keep hitting red and white rings and wondering why "BINGO" never appears; the mindset shift is to stop controlling the shooter and start arranging the target.
Tips & Common Mistakes
- Mistake: shooting at the center. Tapping to fire hits the bullseye and misses the black heart.
- Mistake: dragging the bow. The bow itself cannot be moved; the target object (the heart) is what you drag.
- Tip: Make sure the heart lands squarely on the bullseye before releasing.
- Note: The heart is movable even though it is painted on the target โ pick it up and move it.
