Brain Out 2 Level 161
๐ Walkthrough
Overview
Level 161 is a garbage-sorting puzzle. A confused man in a shirt and tie holds a cardboard box full of mixed trash: a book, a bone, and a small bottle-like item. In front of him stand four colour-coded bins with different recycling and waste symbols, and a plush rabbit toy is poking out of the red bin. The hint asks you to "Please help the garbage classification!", and the correct move is to drag each item from the box into the bin that matches its type rather than dumping the whole box anywhere.
- Difficulty: Regular
- Estimated moves: 3
Step-by-Step Solution
- Read the bin labels. There are four bins: a green and a blue bin both showing the recycling symbol (recyclable paper/plastic), a red bin for hazardous waste (the crossed-out symbol), and a grey bin showing food scraps (a fish bone and fruit core), which is the kitchen-waste bin.
- Sort the book first. The blue book in the box is paper waste. Drag it out of the box and drop it into one of the recycling bins.
- Sort the bone. The white bone is food/kitchen waste. Drag it into the grey bin marked with the food-scraps symbol.
- Sort the small item. The remaining small bottle-like object in the box goes to the appropriate bin โ a recyclable container to the recycling bin, or a battery-style item to the red hazardous bin. Once all three items leave the box, the box becomes empty.
- Notice the plush toy. The stuffed rabbit poking out of the red bin is the observation detail: a soft toy is not hazardous waste and was tossed into the wrong bin. Clearing the mis-sorted toy from the hazardous bin completes the picture.
- Confirm. With the box empty and everything correctly classified, the man stops looking confused and gives a thumbs-up, and the text reads "Your observation power is great!".
Strategy & Reasoning
The level tests whether you read the bin icons before acting. The man looks helpless because he is holding mixed waste and cannot tell which bin each item belongs to. The naive solution โ dragging the whole box onto the nearest bin โ fails because the four bins accept different categories.
The key observation is matching each item's material to a symbol: paper (the book) belongs in recycling, food leftovers (the bone) in the kitchen-waste bin, and batteries/hazardous items in the red bin. The plush rabbit in the red bin is a deliberate "wrongly classified" detail that rewards careful observation, which is why the cleared message praises your observation power rather than your sorting speed.
Wind turbines, trees, and the hill are pure background. The interaction is entirely drag-and-drop between the box and the four bins.
Tips & Common Mistakes
- Mistake: dumping the whole box in one bin. Mixed waste cannot go into a single bin; each item must be dragged separately to its matching category.
- Mistake: ignoring the bin icons. Guessing by colour alone mixes up the two recycling bins. Use the symbols: food scraps go to the grey bin, recyclables to the recycling bins.
- Mistake: missing the misplaced toy. The plush rabbit in the red hazardous bin is the "observation" trick. Noticing that a soft toy does not belong in the hazardous bin is part of the correct solution.
