Brain Out 2 Level 159
๐ Walkthrough
Overview
Level 159 asks you to "Find the baby chick!". The scene is a sunny farmyard: a nest with two unhatched eggs sits on the grass, and a single rooster stands nearby looking confused, with a red question mark floating over it. The trick is that the baby chick is not hiding anywhere on screen โ it is still inside one of the eggs. The eggs will never hatch while they are left sitting out in the open, so you have to bring a chicken onto the nest to incubate them and let them hatch.
- Difficulty: Easy
- Estimated moves: 2
Step-by-Step Solution
- Look at the nest and the eggs. Two unhatched eggs lie in the nest, and a rooster stands off to the side. The goal is to produce a baby chick, which means the eggs have to hatch.
- Do not tap the eggs directly. Poking or tapping the eggs does nothing โ they are cold and left unattended. A chick only develops when the egg is kept warm.
- Drag the rooster over to the nest. Press and hold the standing rooster and pull it onto the nest so it settles down on top of the eggs to brood them.
- Let the chicken sit on the eggs. Once the rooster is positioned over the nest covering the eggs, it begins incubating them. The eggs stay tucked beneath the brooding chicken.
- Watch the eggs hatch. After a short moment, the eggs crack open and two fluffy yellow baby chicks appear in the nest. The on-screen text changes to "New members have increased!", and flowers bloom around the yard as the level clears.
Strategy & Reasoning
This level is testing real-world common sense rather than a hidden object hunt. Players who read "Find the baby chick!" start searching behind the fence, the bushes, or under the sun, expecting the chick to be concealed somewhere. But the chicks are plainly inside the two eggs in the nest โ the only missing ingredient is warmth.
The rooster stands off to one side doing nothing, which is the visual cue that it needs to be moved onto the nest. Chickens hatch eggs by sitting on them, so the correct interaction is a drag: placing the chicken on the nest covers and warms the eggs. Once that happens, the hatching animation plays automatically and the baby chicks are revealed.
There is no need to tap the eggs, the fence, the sun, or the bushes; those are all scenery. The single decisive action is moving a chicken to the nest.
Tips & Common Mistakes
- Mistake: searching for a hidden chick. The chick is not hidden behind the fence or bushes. It is inside the eggs already in the nest; you just have to hatch them.
- Mistake: tapping the eggs. Tapping a cold, unattended egg does nothing. Eggs need to be sat on by a chicken to hatch.
- Mistake: leaving the rooster where it stands. The rooster off to the side looks decorative, but it is the incubator. Drag it onto the nest to cover the eggs and trigger the hatching.
