Brain Out 2 Level 44
๐ Walkthrough
Overview
Level 44 asks "How many cookies do we have?" An open cookie tin shows several cookies inside, with a + / - counter defaulting to 0 and a Submit button. The trick is that the lid, which is leaning beside the box, is also printed with small cookies on its surface. If you only count the cookies inside the tin, you will miss the ones drawn on the lid. Once all are counted, the answer is 10.
- Difficulty: Regular
- Estimated moves: 1
Step-by-Step Solution
- Count the cookies inside the tin. In the open box there are six cookies: a chocolate-chip cookie, a pretzel, a square biscuit, a small round cookie, and two swirl cookies. That is 6.
- Do not stop there. The game warns "Don't Miss Hidden Elements."
- Look at the lid. The inside of the leaning lid has four small cookies printed on it. Count those too: 4.
- Add them up. 6 (inside the box) + 4 (drawn on the lid) = 10.
- Enter 10. Press the plus button until the counter reads 10, then tap Submit.
- Confirm the clear. All the cookies scatter out around the tin, a thumbs-up appears, and the counter shows 10. The green next button appears.
Strategy & Reasoning
This is a counting-with-a-hidden-detail puzzle. At first glance you only see the six real cookies in the open tin, which feels like the whole answer. But the leaning lid is printed with cookies as decoration โ and the game counts those as part of "how many cookies." The hint "Don't Miss Hidden Elements" tells you to look beyond the obvious items.
By counting both the cookies in the box and the cookies pictured on the lid, you reach the correct total of 10. This is why the reward scatters all the cookies around the tin: it is showing you every cookie that was counted, including the ones that were on the lid.
The lesson is to inspect the whole scene, including the packaging. The lid's artwork is easy to overlook because it looks like decoration rather than actual cookies, but the question asks how many cookies we have, and the drawn cookies on the lid count toward the answer. Enter 10 and submit.
Tips & Common Mistakes
- Mistake: counting only the cookies inside the tin. That gives 6 and misses the lid.
- Mistake: ignoring the lid. The four cookies printed on the lid must be counted.
- Mistake: over- or under-counting. Six inside plus four on the lid equals exactly 10. Set the counter to 10 and press Submit โ the thumbs-up and scattered cookies confirm it.
Replay Notes
When you replay this level, resist the obvious first instinct: the surface objects and the character's complaints are usually a distraction, and the real solution is hidden in an interactive detail most players never touch. Work through the scene once normally to see what the game allows you to drag, swipe, or shake, then combine the objects in an unexpected order rather than using them where they seem to belong. If you get stuck, remember that Brain Out 2 levels rarely require complex chains โ the answer is almost always one counter-intuitive gesture applied to something on screen. Reset, ignore the noise, and look for the single movable item that does not look like a tool.
